Main Floor bath makeover

IMG_6734

This bathroom was tired and dated. A textured sponge treatment on the walls, dolphin cutouts as a border plus a dark dated oak vanity.  The only thing this bath had going for it was the skylight. I love a bath with natural light.

In this space, the only thing that stayed was the tub and vanity.

Here is the before:

We painted the vanity in Dark Navy by Behr, the walls were painted in Loyal by Behr and the headboard wainscoting which we added along with new baseboards was painted in Behr Swiss Coffee.

We replace the flooring, toilet, countertops, installed a classic subway tile tub surround along with a band of mosaic for visual interest which we repeated over by the sink area. We kept the existing mirror and had a frame made and painted to match the trim in the space. We installed new flooring as well. Believe it or not, it’s a vinyl product but it looks like limestone. We installed a new sink, faucets and lighting as well.

Here is the After:

Wall Colour- Loyal by Behr

Cabinet colour- Dark Navy Behr

Wainscoting- Swiss Coffee Behr

Vanity lighting- Home Depot

Faucet- Home Depot

Sink- Home Hardware

Flooring- Central Building Supplies

I am thrilled with how this bathroom turned out. It is a generous sized bathroom with natural light so it had that going for it. Updating the finishes, bringing in some colour was all this space needed. Bright, fresh and relaxing.
